This past weekend (May 2nd and 3rd) was a small one for us. Not surprising, honestly. Finals are creeping up fast, and a lot of our regulars are college students juggling the same end‑of‑semester chaos I am. What a week on the dance floor! This past weekend, we had our biggest turnout yet for lessons on Friday (4/17) and Saturday (4/18), and it was an absolute blast! Teaching West Coast Swing and Two Step to such a big, high‑energy group made the whole weekend feel amazing. It was wonderful seeing so many new faces picking up the steps and having fun! Last weekend at Mama Rees was one of those teaching stretches that fills me up in all the best ways. We offered free classes both nights, and the room had that perfect mix of curious beginners, returning dancers, and people who wandered in to grab a drink or play some pool.
